Changelog for the new Android 13 QPR1 Beta 2 Update

Google has started pushing the new beta build and it comes with the firmware version T1B2.220916.004. Similar to the other incremental upgrades, it’s a small upgrade that weighs 133MB in size. The second beta update will bring a new monthly security patch in the form of the October 2022 Security Patch. Google doesn’t mention any details of new features or changes available in the latest update. However, according to a few users who have installed this update, the Android 13 QPR1 Beta 2 will come with much smoother unlocking animations, predictive back support, refined animations for the music players in the notification shade, detailed battery stats, and more.

How to apply for the Android 13 QPR1 Beta 2 Update

For easier availability, the second beta has gone live for all Pixel smartphones compatible with Android 13 QPR1 Beta 1. If you aren’t aware, the upgrade has become available for Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5a, Pixel 5, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and Pixel 6a. For owners of any of these Pixel smartphones, they can try this new update by joining the Android Beta Program and upgrading their smartphone to the upcoming Android 13 QPR1. If you’ve enrolled for Android 13 Beta previously, then you’ll still be enrolled and receive a QPR upgrade. Once you’ve updated to the new beta, you’ll be able to use the Android Beta Feedback app where you can submit issues and problems related to the beta update.
