Samsung is currently rolling out the latest security update to Galaxy S20 FE in New Zealand. It should start hitting other regions over the next few days. The update can be identified by the firmware version G780FXXS8CUKA, which brings nothing more than just a new security patch. Samsung’s December 2021 security patch fixes dozens of system security and privacy vulnerabilities. Now, it is reaching 4G variants of the Galaxy S20 FE. So, Galaxy S20 FE 5G is the only device in the S20 series left to receive the latest security patch. It is a minor security patch update. So, don’t expect to see new features, performance improvements, or changes to the user interface.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE users in New Zealand have already started picking up the December 2021 security update. Those, who have not received it yet, should try checking manually by navigating to Settings » Software updates.
