Android manufacturers are in a race to release Android 13 and its related security updates, with Google’s Pixel series already receiving the update. One UI 5.1 will reportedly focus on the bottom of the screen, where touch-enabled features will be easily accessible for the user. In addition, DeX mode will be enhanced for better multitasking and will include a new taskbar. One of the notable features of One UI 5.1 is the ability to launch apps in independent windows by long clicking on an app’s icon in the recents menu and dragging it. This will improve multitasking and allow for a more seamless user experience.
When will “One UI 5.1” come out?
It is expected that the complete list of compatible devices for One UI 5.1 will be finalized by January 2023. The S23 family is rumored to be ditching the Exynos processor in favor of the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in all of their devices. Some of the A series phones, including the A33, A52, A53, and A73, and the M series phones, the M32 and M52, have already received the update.
